PTA Mission
The mission of the Arizona PTA is three-fold:
1) To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
2) To assist parents in developing skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
3) To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
PTA Objectives
To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
WSS PTA Meetings
The West Sedona School PTA is an organization important to the success of our educational program. You and your family are encouraged to become active members of the PTA.

Become a Member of the WSS PTA!
The PTA depends on the support of parents and staff to make its goals become reality. Membership in your local PTA automatically makes you a member of the State and National PTA, the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer organization dedicated to the Health, Welfare, and Education of children. One of the jobs of the PTA is to inform parents and the community about current issues that affect our children.
The PTA is also instrumental in planning major programs and events for the school. Contact the office or any PTA officers to become involved in this important organization.
